Applications

Wireless headsets

Wireless headsets are used in some of the harshest environments, users requiring protection from gunshots, machinery, explosions, fire and street noise. DST provides intelligent attenuation of these noises only when required ensuring the user is fully aware of their surroundings when the noise has passed, providing users with hearing protection to 34 dB, reliable communications without processing any of the external sounds ensuring that in dangerous environments the user retains spatial awareness.

Hearing aids

DST enables hearing aids to have a fully controllable air vent resulting in minimal feedback and improved audio performance whatever the background noise level.

Mobile headsets – Bluetooth and wired

A well fitting Bluetooth headset provides excellent noise isolation properties just the thing when making or receiving a call but impedes the ability to have face to face conversations without its removal. The addition of DST means you don’t have to remove the headset, with DST open you are able to hear the person speaking; this is especially useful in a car with engine and wind noise which affects the ability to distinguish between many numbers and letters.

Condor DST can either be used in full hearing protection mode or as a sound ‘gate’ allowing external sound to be shut out only when required.

This sound selectivity empowers the user with various modes either protecting the hearing or allowing in external sounds with partial or full awareness of the surroundings.
